Product Development:
Authentication of plant material is critical to the safe and effective use
of phytopharmaceuticals. Authentication of the plant material includes both
identifying the crude plant product and evaluate pharmaceutical quality. In
MediPearl, the authentication is achieved using methods such as taxonomy,
morphology, microscopy, physical and chemical analysis, and DNA molecular
biology. To ensure safety, efficacy and consistency of the herbal products,
MediPearl identifies and selects the best herbal sources and/or follows the
Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) in planting and harvesting our own herbs.
