Studies on the chemical constituents of Proveq MPCB
revealed it to be composed of three chemical components.
Component A is the main constituent in MPCB and account for
its pronounced therapeutic effect on pulmonary conditions.
Component A contains flavonoid pigments including dimeric
procyanins, anthocyanins and proanthocyanins which act as
powerful antioxidants. Components B and C were identified as
hecogenin and β-sitosterol
respectively. In the studies, it was found that the B
component promotes macrophage phagocytosis.
Anti-oxidants are widely used as ingredients in dietary
supplements that are used to protect against free radical
damage. Anti-oxidants also boost our immune system in
general and play an important role in our overall health,
helping the body reduce the risk of developing certain
conditions.
By virtue of the properties of its active compounds
mentioned above, Rhizoma Fagopyri dibotryis
strengthens the immune system and function of lungs and
builds up the body resistance to fight against disease. It
also improves the tolerance of chemotherapy or radiotherapy
and helps in the maintenance of overall health after such
therapies.
